Global Chief Investment Officer Fixed Income

Michael Krautzberger is Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Fixed Income and a Managing Director with Allianz Global Investors. He joined the company in 2024. In this capacity, he leads and oversees the development of the firm’s Fixed Income capability and investment offering. He is a member of AllianzGI’s Investment Executive Committee and International Management Group.

Michael has over 30 years of proven investment expertise with a dedicated focus on fixed income. He joined AllianzGI from BlackRock where he worked for 19 years, most recently as Head of EMEA Fundamental Fixed Income since 2018. Previously, he was Chief Investment Officer and member of the executive board of BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland AG. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2005 (subsequently merged with BlackRock in 2006), Michael was Head of European Fixed Income at Union Investment, before which he spent five years with DWS.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer science from the European Business School and earned a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Hagen.
