The Middle East conflict has sparked a broad market selloff, hitting local currency bonds and FX hardest. As markets price in the effect of a prolonged disruption to the Strait of Hormuz, inflation fears and concerns about global growth are in focus. But emerging markets are in a stronger position to weather these challenges than during previous crises.
